Gortigoth the Hand is one of the Ghaash’kala, “Ghost Guardians,” of the Demon Wastes. An Orc kala’sha (paladin) of Kalok Shash, the Binding Flame. To the rest of Khorvaire, it is more widely known as the Silver Flame. Gortigoth, or Gort, was looking for a Dhakaani smith who had been shown to him in a vision. He’d been to Darguun but had no luck there as the true Dhakaani were not very open about who and where they were and Lhesh Haruuc’s new nation wasn’t too keen on outsiders poking around to find groups that could be his opposition. Gortigoth, being the very direct fellow that he is, did not keep a low profile and was escorted out of the country. None of this went down as nicely as this sounds, but Gort came out alive and figured he should continue his search in the only other area that was obvious to him in his vision. A city of soaring towers. Gort managed to get in touch with the University, found out about me, and set up an appointment to talk. He needed a great smith trained in the arts of the ancient Dhakaan Empire to return to the Demon Wastes with him to forge and construct a vessel of some import. I told him there was nobody in Sharn like that but that I could reach out to someone who might be able to help if he had the money to cover a pricey messaging from the nearest Sivis station. He did and we promptly headed off. All of this went through, and I found out, coincidentally, that Jhazaali was in Wroat with an expert metalsmith having just explored an area near there for signs of some other artifact the Volaar wanted. Gort told me that his translator had been killed in Darguun and wanted to know if I would go with him to meet with Jhazaali and the smith. Um… go with you to see Jhazaali again and to maybe learn about a culture from the Demon Wastes that little is known about? Yes, please.
