Day 4 – Time to Shine… In the Dark
4th of Nymm, 989 YK
As mentioned, we get the tattoos. We’re all feeling like crap but at least the hunger pangs aren’t as bad today.
Today’s activity, for our worn down, half-starved group is a test of stealth and dexterity. Okay! This should be good for me. I’ve always been good at games that relied on those aspects. Let’s see what kind of horrific twist they can add to it. So, the deal is that we get strapped with bells around our ankles, knees, wrists, elbows, and necks. We’re then blindfolded and moved into a pitch-black room (so they said, I was blindfolded and can’t confirm this). They hand us two small, shallow bowls and tell us there’s a different liquid in each one. These liquids need to be poured into bowls with their matching liquids somewhere within the room. The more you get into the correct bowls, the better. Also, if we make any noise while moving across the room we get hurt. No details on that, just that we’ll get hurt. No details on how large the room is or obstacles or anything else. So now I’m going to make a long story somewhat short. If you remember me mentioning how my name went well with the results of one of the trials, then you’ve probably already guessed my result here. That’s right. I made no noise whatsoever and managed to get across an obstacle-filled room (with climbing involved) and fill the matching bowls with the correct liquids (one was water and the other was pomegranate juice so it was pretty easy to tell them apart). As for the others, Brook got the crap beat out of her but was tough enough to take it and keep a little of the liquids in her bowls, Pan lost one bowl entirely but managed to get the majority of the water into the juice bowl and the others failed to get any liquids across.
